Hi
Why not pay a visit to Copenhagen in Denmark this fall?
We have the biannual IPMS competition on offer - this year the 50'th anniversary of the club, and the 30th anniversary of our first competition.
There are 4 dedicated classes for car buffs. (And the usual aeroplane /mili stuff naturally). It is possible to compete in Racing cars - civilian cars - trucks and any car in a natural setting.
See some models from 2013: http://www.ipms.dk/DM2013/result_main.html
Copenhagen is easily accessible with an international airport and public transport almost to the front door of the exhibtion which is shared with a general hobby exhibition. Don't expect Telford though. But have some fun and come visit.
It will be held on 31st of october to the 1. of november this year, and we have a dinner on the evening of the 31.st.
Want to know more? PM me. Me and Allan would love to meet some of the fantastic modellers AND models from F1M!
Best regards
Flemming

Beautiful idea but, how move the models ?
Not possible to carry the model inside the airplane cabin.

Re: Modelling competition in Copenhagen
Hi
I know that people comes from far away to competitions like Telford and US Nationals. They can't come by car all of them?
But yes by air is an "interesting" challenge. It must be in the cabinluggage somehow. I wouldn't like my models to be handled by the ground crew. You would get e new kit out of it.
Everyone is welcome naturally, but for practical reasons visitors should be able to come by car. meaning northern Europe - Germany/ Belgium / Holland and the Scandinavian countries.
If anyone comes by air I'll promise free access to the show and an unlimited supply of superglue to fix your models!
Best regards

Re: Modelling competition in Copenhagen
Hi Alex
It would be great to have you and anybody else as visitors and maybe even competitors.
Anybody who wants to know where to stay and how to get around - just ask. Forget your own car in the centre of Copenhagen. It is possible to drive around, but parking is almost impossible or at best pricey! Public transport is the way to go in this case.
