Ferrari 412 T2 1:12 Museum collection
Having finished the Ferrari F10 I'm going to start the next project, the Ferrari 412 T2 from Museum Collection. I bought the kit more then 10 Years ago,but never buildt it because I feared the soldering job. I'm not experienced in soldering. When I opened the box after some years again there was big surprise: the tires were melted to a big mass of silicone.

Re: Ferrari 412 T2 1:12 Museum collection
The building instruction gives no clear hints, so I decided to to make a drawing in scale 1:12.

automolia; Ferrari Formula 1 annual 1995
and others
The brass sheet is from 0,25 mm thickness, I think it is not enough for the undertray. Therefor I cut a new groundplate from 0,7mm brass. The soldering process:

The soldering job is finished so long. Next step will be the gearbox with the rear suspension.

Looking great. Nice skills you show here. I will follow with big interest.
Bought this kit recently as well with no tires included. What do you plan to
do about tires ?

If you would like help with tires let me know. I have this kit and I believe all the tires produced for it either melted to liquid or are about to do so. When I found that my kit had no tires, I made a set of resin tires in halves (with some help from a good friend on CAD) that can be mounted to the kit wheels. They will need to be painted obviously, but they have accurate shape and sizing so they should work well. If you want a set I can probably figure something out.

Re: Ferrari 412 T2 1:12 Museum collection
Here is a new update of the progress.
Next step is the gearbox. The Museum Collection ( MC ) gearbox is a very simple squre cigarbox with cast differential cases (outlets for the halfshafts) as only detail. OK, when the model is finished, you will not see very much of this part, but I would have a little more detail.
Some years ago I was lucky to find a partial damaged Tamiya FW 14 kit, that I could buy for e few €s.So I have a lot of donor parts to use for other cars.
The Tamiya FW 14 gearbox is very similar to the Ferrari T gearbox.
Next step will be the rear suspension.
