Re: Ferrari 412 T2 1:12 Museum collection
Hallo again,
it's time to finish this WIP of the Ferrari 412 T2 now.
The last step of the kit, making the wheels, has come.
On the top of this WIP I showed the disaster of the melted silicon wheels. This seems to be a general problem of the kit.
A second kit, I bought some years later, had some problems like other model builders told it too. So it's time to replace them now. There is a chance to turn new ones from resin, but i don't like those hard resin tyres.
Many years ago I was lucky to buy three 1:12 Ferrari F93 kits from the italian company Intermodelli. The tyres of this kit are made from pure rubber and have the right dimensions of the 1995 FIA regulations. But they don't fit to the rims of the MC kit, the inner Diameter is 2 mm too narrow. So I turned them with the lathe to the right size.
