A new low for McLaren: Jenson Button at the very back of the grid. At least he got there...
Image

...Poor Kevin Magnussen didn't even make it to the grid, pulling off the track on the formation lap with mechanical failure, in exactly the same spot after his accident in FP2. This time the car was intact and parked at a different angle, allowing some further details to be seen.

The camera appendages are suspended like rearview mirrors rather than attached directly to the side of the nose as previously. Nico's on-board camera is a rear-facing one

here, the camera has been removed from its mount

A surprising detail: Nico's windscreen is shark-tooth shaped, whereas Lewis had a conventional windscreen

Heat-stained exhaust

little red FIA “void if removed” stickers are all over the car

The rear bodywork features a curved, "?"-shaped piece on the side, which attaches to the floor

The end-plate looks simple in comparison

The vane area under the car is sophisticated
Image

Even the sensor pod has been given wings so as to add aerodynamic effect

This photo, taken in the pits a few days prior, reveals more of the wing shape

Knife-edge detail

2015 could be a tough year for Red Bull. The photos don't show it but the Bull logo is fluoro orange.

Sauber's new colours actually looked good in person, I expected not to like it

Jeff, these are absolutely fantastic pics as always.

Thankyou for sharing with us.

I don't suppose you would happen to have any RB6 like these, from back in the day?

Regards, Dan
