Ferrari 126C2 1/20 Gilles last ride

...and now the last build of the week-end : The Ferrari 126C2 Zolder version, specifically the one Gilles drives on his last fatal lap.
I had to do quite a lot of search as the sidepods panels were different from the early qualifying session as well as the rear wing.
The base kit is the Fujimi 126C2 with the MFH Transkit. But still I added some bits and pieces, and specific wheels (Studio27 old full metal kit) as Gilles was running with 15" wheels. I think it is the only version of the wheels/rims which are correct. So bad MFH forgot this aspect in their Transkit, and I am not speaking about Fujimi...This gives a completely different shape to the car. The rear wing is also coming from this old box and the nose had to be reshaped as the position of the front wing has a different position.
I had to modify the height of the side pods and the shape of the skirts, based on the pictures I could find. I am quite happy with the end result
Also I needed a very nice figure, this time coming from GF-Models, so cool....with Gilles wearing its helmet for the last time (looking at some pictures, I am really nostalgic...such a great driver). The decals are from James, with specific stickers for the Belgium GP.
That's it for now
