30, CAD Manager at a physics research establishment. May return to 3D modelling/animation in due course though.

10 years Sonar Supervisor, USN submarine fleet
10 years instructor teaching Aegis Combat system to USN
5 years at Gunnar racing
8 years again teaching Aegis combat system

I'm 38 and I'm a barber and own my own shop. Been doing that for about 5 years and I love it. Before that I worked as a magazine editor, which sounds cool but was a job I hated
I started building models when I was 10, but stopped when I was about 15 for the usual teenage pursuits of sex, drugs and rock and roll!!! I started building models again about 7 years ago.

My background is in mechanical engineering as an engine oil formulator and product manger.
I went to my first Grand Prix in 1969 and 42nd in 2008. I was privileged to be able to design the engine oils for Mclaren in F1 in 1988 & 1989. I have also worked at the Montreal GP with Mclaren and Ferrari for 17 years, and with team Rahal in Champcar.
Now I get to research, write & illustrate model detailing profiles, race and engineer sim racing cars, and yes, build models, unfortunately less frequently than I would like.

Can't believe there's so many career and age similarities here!
I'm 51 and used to work as a TV motion graphics designer for over 20 years. I too had enough of 3D and now work as a conservator/restorer of ancient metal artifacts.
LOL..OK, I couldn't resist!
She's got me to Le Mans and back a few times & managed a 13.4 second quarter mile. I finished her about 15 years ago after a five year build - a year of which was spent straightening the fibreglass bodywork out!!!

Meant to add I'm quite into bikes too. Getting old enough to enjoy cruisers - the footboards slow my corner speed and have probably saved my life:

I'm 29 and I am a researcher.
I am doing models since 15. Started late, but have doing models consistently throughly all these years. Started with rally and LeMans Tamiya cars, but moved to F1.

Greetings. I'm 59 and from the Detroit, Michigan area. I use CAD/CAM to design and build tooling, machinery, and gages for the metal tube fabricating industry (hence the username tubegenius). Wasted my youth building NASCAR and drag racing models. Got turned on to F-1 in the early '80s and started building again. My other passion is high-fidelity audio. My favorite sport is ice hockey.
