Re: bestbalsakits releases & ongoing projects
still waiting for the dash gauge decals to arrive here, shouldn't be too long now as they have been on their way over for 2 weeks now...
Meanwhile, i drew 1/12 decal sheet to fit tamiya's 1/12 Lotus 49B. I'll be offering 17 different configs in total, and will offer these in 2 seperate sets: first set covers 1968 cars as driven by Hill - Clark - Oliver, while the 2nd set has focus on 1969-1970 cars as driven by Hill - Attwood & Rindt.
I think I covered most important races (Hill's 1st places in Monaco 68 & 69, Rindts 1st place in US 69 & Monaco 70, Clarks victory @ Surfers Paradise Tasman Series 68, Andretti's pole @ US 68, Andretti's debut @ Italy 68), and added some others with special sponsor set up or simply because i liked the design of the nr the car was driven with...
The 68 decal set, covers 12 configs in total, the 69-70 set covers 5.
I'm sure other setups are hidden in the sheets, you should check reference if other config is needed.
Next to these, there will be separate 1/12 driver decals for Hill - Rindt - Andretti - Clark, covering their lotus years.
I expect these to become available feb 2014...

I think it would be cheaper to get the gearbox directly from the source....capri-schorsch wrote:Sorry Wim for hijacking your thread!Bozothenutter wrote:any plans on correction stuff?

I also don't think just an upper wishbone change would complete the changes needed to make a proper conversion.
The decals are a great start though, Wim those look fantastic!!

Re: bestbalsakits releases & ongoing projects
Thanks Derek. Well, at least, they are correct size (studio27 49B sheets has logos at least 15 to 20% too big, you'll never get them to fit on the car), and unlike most tamiya originals, not yellowedIcon_Modeler wrote:... The decals are a great start though, Wim those look fantastic!!
And i'll have some great driver decals to accompany them... These will come in 1/12 and 1/43.

ps 3d printer has arrived too. Ahaa... maybe now's a good time to start looking into the Datsun 240Z Camel pace/bob sharp car...

I love those gauge decals, they would be great upgrades to the stack of vintage Tamiya 1/2 F1 kits.
