Looking for skillful scratchbuild modeler
Hello, is there anyone who wants to try build F1 car with using my paper kit as base?
Model is completely full with chassis and engine, I can give it in scale you want ( 1/18, 1/20 ).
Here is my item cataloque, you may choose car you like:
Goal is to get to know if the kit is usable for scratchbuild modeler.
Feel free to PM or email me, I look forward on cooperation.

Re: Looking for skillful scratchbuild modeler
Why don't you post a link to a free car that isn't currently available as a kit and maybe someone will try to build it in plastic or resin?

I do not want to give link to a free car, all what you must to do is to say " yes I Am interested" I will send you model via post.

Re: Looking for skillful scratchbuild modeler
I'm not sure whether you want someone to build one of your paper models and review relative to a plastic/resion or whether you want to find out if someone can use them to assist with the scratch building of a resin or plastic model?

Hey Rado
Those Origami Models look awesome!!
How difficult are they to build and do you have to paint them at all? The image of the car on the home page looks excellent!!!
I would be keen to learn more about them.

Re: Looking for skillful scratchbuild modeler
Hi, I just think that paper model can be very usefull as the base for scratchbuild.smbrm1 wrote:I'm not sure whether you want someone to build one of your paper models and review relative to a plastic/resion or whether you want to find out if someone can use them to assist with the scratch building of a resin or plastic model?
For example, when you start new scratch project, you must draw the plan, searching for technical photos etc. But all that work is already done, all chassis parts are ready, you may use them as template, just redraw them on materials used in scratching and so on..
Also you can build molds for cowling, there are many possibilities how to use parts from paper kit.. just imagine, you just have to think about and try it out in practice..simply there is lot of space to find out some suitable ways how to use it.
Just look at the Tyrrel 009
..and the gallery from build of Monaco GP Pironi race version here

Hi Rich, it´s not much difficult to build models like that, sure you must to learn some needed technics. No paint was used on models, all graphic is drawed on parts.monkfish wrote:Hey Rado

But idea is to try scratchbuild by using parts of paper kit, whether is it usefull.

Re: Looking for skillful scratchbuild modeler
Hi Rado
First of all, a word of congratulation for your models. They are very nice and turn into beautiful models.
I can tell you that I had a lot of Mb of paper models on my hard drive, waiting for myself to develop proper skills and techniques to turn paper models into proper 3d plastic models.
For me, the main issues are:
wheels and rims
complex rounded shapes and symmetries
decals
Perhaps, 3d printing can be a giant leap to close the circle: paper model as reference for CAD design->3d print->plastic model
However, I real understand what you mean, as I think that paper models can be definitely a great place to start a full scratchbuild model.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and, once again, congratulations on your models. They do look really nice.
Best regards
