Jordan 192 from Jordan 191 - Finished 04/06

Post by mhbaumer »

Hi guys!
I am working in this convertion, to do this I take a old Jordan 191 from tamiya, a little work, glue, sand, putty, and new decals (from Museum Collection) to do a Jordan 192 from the begginer of 1992 season.
I had begun this job a 1 month ago.
The images show more.

Image
The nose cone is shorter, shortened for the front.

Image
The monocoke is higher, marked here to cut.

A new part was made with a plate of estirene with 10 mm. A lot of sand was necessary.

Some images of the work in the head support, also I modified the cover and the compartment of the support of the front shock, as well as is in the Jordan 192.

Testing the front suspension, the inferior triangles are well different in the 192.

The result that I found for the support of the inferior triangle, is not accurately 1/1 more is happy with the result.

Soon I put more images!

Best Regards to all!

Thanks Wilchan!
Hi Tunyco! Abração para você também!
I want to see your evolutions in that Minardi, I want to do a similar work!
Hi Chris! Always white Tamiya putty.
Here is the pictures of the job in the engine cover.

The forebody of the lateral air inlets is lesser and more advanced, I used the good and old plastic card.
To do the job in the covering of the engine I needed to work in the inferior lateral part in the wooden floor of the car.
Image

Image
I marked the future clipping in the engine cover, I glue the plastic card in the forebody, and started to remodel the cover in the back part.

Image

Image

Image
Testing the union of that parts.

Image

Image
In this last image the work already is more advanced, I cuts of the covering of the original engine, placed a profile used as a base of to concert the J191 in the J192. In the sides I placed two plates of plastic card, to fill some points I placed plastic mass. Later much job with the sandpaper. Already I remade the air exit in the back posterior part, I used the reference of the beginning of the season of 1992.
I glue the cover in the monocoke, the clipping of the covering in the 192 is different of the used one in the 191, later I will go to make the low relief.

Testing to see if all is rigth.

This is it!
Thanks again to everyone!
