New 2011 decals

Post by indycals »

A couple of new sets of decals from this year's Indy 500.

Tony Kanaan, KV Racing Lotus
http://www.indycals.net/decals/indy/2011geicolotus.html

Helio Castroneves, Shell Penske
http://www.indycals.net/decals/indy/201 ... enske.html

More 2011 decals to come... I'm working on this year's winner, but will likely have to farm out some of the dayglo work - most likely will be done in vinyl.

Nah, not really. I'd still love for you to do an FW13 sheet (late '89 car), but I understand the monumental amount of work involved, as we've discussed before. It's a car I'd really like to do.

Maybe the Keke Rosberg Wolf (Theodore) car in both 1/20 and 1/12? I know S27 has done them but I'd rather support you, honestly...your decals are just as good if not better. I imagine I could come up with some more but that's what I have off the top of my head. ;)

One thing I always wondered about is maybe doing some "banner" decals for things like pit dioramas? I have an idea of doing one for a rally stage and I'd need some large sponsor (just one sponsor) decals. Ever thought of that? Just throwing out ideas...

How about a set of decals for the Tamiya Lotus 49 (Jim Clark versions)?

Hi Michael,

There is one kit out there that is really crying out for a quality set of decals and that is the Academy Benetton B195, I know that Museum Collection did a set, but they only include the Schumacher version, and I would like to build Johnny Herbert's British GP winning car.

The Academy decals are awful, and are inaccurate with regards to the positioning of the demarkation between the various blue shades particularly just in front of the sidepods. I'm thinking of masking and painting the various blue areas anyway, but a partial set with just the sponsor logo's would be cool.

Happy modelling

I would like to see some decals to build tachometer or instrument panel for 70's and 80's because most Tamiya kits, it doens't come with kit and you have to paint it and it is so hard to do, at least for me.

and for my personal perspectivie I still looking for a decal to build this car...

Some more ideas for new decal sets.

1993 T93/00 Lola Walker Racing/Mackenzie - Scott Goodyear (this has been done before, but not great or easy to find)
1993 T93/00 Lola Galles/Valvoline - Al Unser Jr
2000 Jaguar R1 - conversion
2003 BAR 005 - conversion
Michelin Tire Decals 1/24, 1/20
