Re: The 2012 Yee-Haw GP
For Me texas is a lot closer than New york. I am all for it.
Indycals you make some very good points!
Very surprised that they have to build a track for F-1!
All we can hope for is that we finally get a USGP soon.

Re: The 2012 Yee-Haw GP
If talk radio is any indication...Austinites don't like it already. Tax dollars for sports...not a good enough economy for that, even in Austin. A Grand Prix in my town, sorry but Waxdart just doesn't have that kind of luck. If you see me in the shortest line at the store don't get behind me... it will still take the longest time to check me out. Nice to think about though!! Tim

I don't believe it will happen until I see it. To me this sounds like Donington part 2. Who knows what Bernie is up to this time...

Re: The 2012 Yee-Haw GP
I hope this does go ahead, Texas will probably really get behind it, and promote it in a way that could bring in a big audience.
If, though, for whatever reason it does not happen, how about taking the GP to Road America?

Re: The 2012 Yee-Haw GP
My cousin who is living in Austin said I should visit to watch F1 in there.
Should I go there or Suzuka?

Re: The 2012 Yee-Haw GP
Despite my goofy post subject, it would be nice if this actually happened, but I really have my doubts. I just can't imagine building a whole new F1 track in the time allotted considering the economy and probable complete lack of federal or state financial support.

Ya, I'm going with "It'll never happen", not enough interest in Texas or the rest of the country for that matter. Not until a really good American driver comes along.
