Kits of which era of F1 racing would you prefer?

Post by MarcoSaupe »

Hi

in context with the predictions thread I'd like to add a little poll. I just hope that I don't shoot myself in the foot with this poll, if my favourite eras (60s/70s) are the ones nobody else likes and the kit manufacturers that read this forum act accordingly... :?

Anything that ran during my lifetime - 1967 - present. Although my least favorite of that range is from about 95-99.

I can think of cars I like and dislike from every era. Some designs work, other deserve a mercy bullet.

My favorite F1 car is the Lotus 72D. To me this is one of the best looking F1 cars. Just something about an exposed engine.

People really don't seem interested in pre-war and 50's racers, which is sort of sad. Fortunately Hiro, MG models and others have done a good job with 50s cars as well.
The "Kit" style of model making have become popular, bringing models within the reach of the unskilled and ill-equipped. -Pratley, Scale Model Cars (1956)

An almost perfect "Gauss' bell" shaped graphic, right? don't know if it's a statistic feature... but that's it.
