Speed Build: Ferrari F310B - Finished
A late start, but I should finish by the deadline. Bodywork painted.

I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Re: Speed Build: Ferrari F310B
I'm not sure how it happened, but one of the front suspension pieces got broken.
I drilled out the end of the piece and installed some styrene rod.
After painting, it looks like new.

Re: Speed Build: Ferrari F310B
Some more updates. More wishbones added.
Front suspension complete.
And a couple of aero bits added.
Finished up on the wheels/tires. A question for the more experienced builders out there. Is there any way to do the tire lettering besides the Tamiya decals? I don't like the way they look with the carrier film showing.

Re: Speed Build: Ferrari F310B
Decals are best from anything after 1992. Be sure to follow this process:
* Sand tyre to remove mould line
* Insert wheel (mask wheel if nessecary)
* Apply clear gloss
* Apply decals
* Apply clear gloss
* Apply flat clear
This is my 412T2 wheel with the above process:

Thanks BigDuke. That's what I want them to look like.

Re: Speed Build: Ferrari F310B
The problem with clear on tires is that you'll have to minimize handling them after you are done. That's why you have to have them completely assembled before you clear them. Installing the wheel in the tire or any similar handling can cause stress cracking in the top coats. It's best if the wheel is ready to mount on the suspension as soon as the masking comes off.
BigDuke's looks great!
