Tamiya Ferrari F2001 1/20th WIP
Tamiya Ferrari F2001 1/20th WIP
I can now start making some progress thanks to Fuel*Buzzed who very kindly sent me the parts i had accidentally thrown away Also thanks to lezdep for his amazing referance pic set
Be gentle with me, this is my first WIP on this forum This is the second F1 model i have built, the first one was built when i started modelling a couple of years ago. It didnt have all 4 wheels sitting on the ground and also had a very poorly fitting engine cover so this one should hopefully be an improvement
Starting off by filling and sanding some joins.
Working on the seat.
The wheels.
Some body parts are now ready for final paint.
Steering wheel is finished, i know not all of the correct parts are painted, i did everything i was confident with and left anything i thought i would mess up.

Looks good, I'd say you've made a leap over your first F1 build, as you described. Everything looks nice and clean.
To enhance the wheels, you may add some tire valves. They would be an easy improvement over the little stubs that Tamiya includes.
Keep up the good work
Cheers,
Chris

Nice start - be sure to paint all the red pieces at the same time otherwise you might get different shades of red.

Fantastic start, you would'nt know it was only your second F1 build. The bits completed so far look very good.

Ive now finished all of the filling and sanding and have now painted all body colour parts with a coat of white in preparation for the red.
Also managed to get a couple of different paints which i didnt have before so have re done some of buttons on the steering wheel in the right colours.
