Great Idea to build em side by side, very helpfull for us viewers and a great advertisement for your decals of which will be a must have...
Thanks for the body painting tips.
It is nice to see Hasegawa's 312T's are correct in detail ,nice to see they are concerned by such things, that can't be said by all plastic F1 kit manufacturers of late..

Re: WIP: Hasegawa Ferrari 312T... and 312T2
The clear parts were airbrushed using a mixture of clear yellow, clear orange and flat white.
The kit does not include spark plug wires, I added them myself. Note, they do not pass underneath the orange tray, they stop on either side of the tray as there is no physical room to pass them underneath. I actually used two different types of wire. The wires coming out of the engine are a stiff craft wire. The wires coming out of the distributor are a more pliable wire. Drilling the distributor was real fun, but fortunately there were impressions for all 12 wires to guide the drill bit.

I'm enjoying this tutorial-I just received my set of your decals for this model; the "dual opacity" white number plate is just brilliant; Good work!

Thanks Howard
Here's another tip: On the T2, if you do the silver paint trick... make sure you do that to the white pieces that go inside the cockpit too. I failed to do that and I now have two very different shades of TS26.

Fuel lines. They are thinner than they look. This is just solid craft material used in beading that I got at Michael's. It's very elastic.
Bodywork has been painted. On the 312T2 after masking off the white areas I gave it another shot of white before the red (TS49) in the hopes that any paint that may run under the tape would be white paint. It seems to have worked. Despite the complex nature of the masking, it came out nice and clean.

Beautful, beautiful, beautiful work . Your painting is fantastic, I'm jealous.
The wiring looks great, and I'm looking forward to seeing you tackle the fuel system. How are you planning to connect the clear lines to the fuel pump and injectors, being that the lines are solid? I have this clear line material also, but have yet to figure out how to use it effectively .
Cheers,
Chris

Superb work. But TS-49 sounds very strange in my ears . I always use TS-8 for "before 1996".
