Hello All:
I wanted to see anyone's opinions in regards to McFarlane's racing figures and if anyone has used them for 1/12 builds? They have lots of detail but seem to be a bit to big maybe? They are listed as 6" figures but measure closer to 6.5" to 6.75". Very cool. measure side by side close to Tamiya figures (i compaired it to the jumping rider figure to the Jeff Gordon link below).
Here is a couple of links in case your not familiar with them. Thanks!

McFarlane Racing figures, useable parts for scratchbuilding?
Re: McFarlane Racing figures, useable parts for scratchbuilding?
The only McFarlane (Seth) related racing figure I knew so far was this one, surely "bottom" racing.clem4135 wrote: I wanted to see anyone's opinions in regards to McFarlane's racing figures and if anyone has used them for 1/12 builds?
Even if the flat bottom is obvious, I don't wanna know anything about the "diffuser"

Good find - they look like nicely sculpted figures.
Would want to be pretty careful with the scale. Even a small amount off and the figure will look noticably out of scale?

I'll post some comparison pics up but they seem really close. The other thing I'm wondering is how accurate were the old Tamyia (which I'm using for comparison) models were as well.

Here's some comparison pics to a 1/12 helmet and Tamiya Jumping rider
Re: McFarlane Racing figures, useable parts for scratchbuilding?
The Tamiya driver (always at 1/12) from the 312B is rather bad, the helmet horrible.
What brand and scale is this grey helmet? looks good.
Don't know if you know these:

I found the grey helmet from a seller on Ebay and it is very nice. 1/12 scale, Comes with decals, visors etc. Here are the links:

I'm not familiar with the resin ones you posted, they look cool.
The cool thing with the McFarlane figures is the price, they are about $10.00 each and are now discontinued and sometimes even cheaper on Ebay.
