Re: WIP Flying LIzard Porsche
Hi All, Had a few hours spare this week to "attack" the Porsche and a good job to as this kit is not that hot.
There are "air" bubbles in the resin all over the place inc. the wheel spokes! and many other places.
Thanks for the advice so far,I,ve re-profiled the wheel arches, open the air jack holes, scribed missing panel lines, assembled the wheels to mock up the ride height and lots more.
The dash with the switches removed which I,ll repace with turned ones.
The brakes were truly naff so here is the replacment.
Rear wing and one door skin.
Hope to get some primer on soon. Regards,Alexp.

You're doing a great job on this!!
I see the brake calipers come from R&M, where do the rotors and hats come from? They look great!
You've swayed my opinion to pick up a Profil24 kit, my wallet thanks you!
Cheers,
Chris

Re: WIP Flying LIzard Porsche
Great work on that Porsche.
But, not that I want to bitch ..., I thought the three lights behind the doors are only used at the ALMS series (indicators for 1st, 2nd, 3rd position in the race)?? Or do they do that at the Mans too?

Re: WIP Flying LIzard Porsche
Hi, Achieved a bit more this week, the inside of the body shell was sprayed white, left a few days then an hour of masking later! we were ready for the light blue:
Three mist coats of "Bermuda" blue later:
Masking removed:
After much effort the wheels have been finished with Alclad chrome, also in the shot is a completed brake:
.
The seat has also been "textured" and backed with SMS carbon.
Should have the next colour(the silver) on next week.
Kind regards,Alexp.

The silver sprayed on:
And the masking removed:
I have a slight ridge line to polish off but most is covered in decal. Should get the red on next week.
