Cheap power sander tip

Post by taliesen »

Found this via a link found in another forum - it's in German, but for other English speakers like me, google translator did a great job. It's a how to on making a power sander from an electric/power toothbrush.

http://www.modellversium.de/tipps/1-wer ... ohren.html

I whipped one up in about 30 minutes (while doing a couple of other things), and find it incredibly helpful for use when filling ejector pin marks. Once the filler is dry (I use Tamiya liquid surface primer), takes about 60 - 90 seconds to sand out, and my hands don't hurt at the end of it!

Thought it might be useful for all of you . . .

That's great! I would have never thought of that, but a great idea.

I'm off to the store to pick one up. Ejector marks look out now.
