Re: Ebbro future releases
Possibly a joint production, using the Tamiya 2CV as a base, with newly-tooled parts by Ebbro to turn it into the van. Bodes well for the proposed Ebbro BT45 using Tamiya's Alfa engine.

Re: Ebbro future releases
I sent them an email recommending the following: Brabham BT19 or BT24 - 1st 3 liter champions; Brabham BT45 - a personal favorite and the BRM P261, perhaps the prettiest F1 car.

I also recommended to Ebbro that they include die cut masking for painting stripes. (similar to canopy masks).

Ok, I'll be the sucker to ask--Why? Why do the companies feel the need for that type of van/truck? Is there really that much of a demand? Seems more than a bit odd to me...but then again, I'm kinda odd, too!gilles.r wrote:Hi,

Yes. This was a very popular car and is still on many modelers wanted list. It's more a European thing. They where used by bakeries to deliver bread to their costumers. Here in Belgium or at least in my part we call this car a "bakkersauto". It means breadvan in dutch.
Best regards,
Lesley

Re: Ebbro future releases
Fair enough, Les. Having studied French language and culture throughout high school and college, I'm decently familiar with them from real life and can see where modelers could want them as a diorama or for their own version from their memories. Never having had Citroen imported in my lifetime into the US (or ever?), I, as an American, missed the boat on this one...

Re: Ebbro future releases
Yes, this car is very popular here in France. All the kits were sales by the import company (T2M) before the delivery boat from japan arrived in France!! My local shop sales a dozen of it in a week. I'm also fan of it because I remember the bakery going in my grand parent's village to sales bread every day, I was 10 years old and I still remember it. Great idea from Ebbro and Tamiya.
