Thanks for the link, just ordered myself some for my current Williams FW-07 build, now can I just borrow your girlfriends embossing tool too :wink:

They have some nice small diameter St/Steel tubes too.

I haven't tried it on cars yet but a modeller I used to know used stockings for mesh on tanks. I've used metal filters from Cafetieres, tea strainers from pound shops. Modelling really does make you think laterally.
I have a load of old rayon stockings that are due for the bin, I wear a lot of vintage stuff when I can, think Mad Men but in this case Mad Girrl and you'd be in the right area.
I'll have an experiment and get back to you.
