I have to correct myself. The kit designer Unno-san is still with Tamiya since he led the RC166 project just recently.
Kiya-san was involved in earlier F1 kits up to around 1998 when he founded EBBRO. Remember the rush of historic car kits in mid 90s in both 1/20 and 1/24 scale? He's reportedly the one behind those projects.
Thank you very much

For now , it is the great silence from Fujimi.
This April month is the first month since a long time that we have not seen one next released planned on the web site.

I am going for two of the Hasegawa as well. I figure there will be a release of Martini Decals as well.

I am of the mind regardless of quality it is great the 79 is being modeled. And I hope that subsequent release include cars such as: 72D/E, FW07C, and BT49....

I think i'll wait for a comparison...though i'm leaning towards the Hase.
I was dissapointed in the F60...and must say I was kinda dissapointed with the Fujimi MP4/5 too...too much simplification.

Fujimi FW14B 'British GP' has now been announced / confirmed..... We all knew about it, but at least it confirms that it was just delayed, not replaced by the FW16...

Also a Brazilian GP FW16 is also announced....

I've preordered 2 Tamiya's, wil convert them into the '79 Martini car and the '79 Tyrrell 009.
And I've preorderd the Hasegawa and build that one into the '78 JPS car.
I've also seent the '76 312T, high airbox, for HLJ preorder and the FW14b.
That's a lot of nice new releases in the next couple of mounth, good news but hard on the cash.

Not only did Fujimi announce the FW14B but also the Brazil vesrion of the FW16.

The Hasegawa price of 3800 for the 79 is still only estimated at this point, but 20% off is 20% off.
