Digging out something old.
Before I start my next plastic build I wanted to bring this old project to an end.
The body was painted and clear coated 3 or more years ago. Should be dry now.

My first attention was to cast engine parts and create something from existing parts.

And than there was 3d printing with Resin.

Here is the result. The engine looks really nice under the front hood. I don't want to make something special out of it. My only goal is to finish this without special stuff.

Nice to see this Capri continued, I had followed this build with interest before, very cool and unique subject.
The additions to the engine compartment will look great when painted, looking forward to more...

By chance I have just come across a YouTube video about the Zakspeed Capris that were made by Erich Zakowski, the essence of which Christian has so excellently caught in his models of the DRM Capris of that era. The video has many under the bodywork pictures of the Capri which will I am sure be helpful to those building Christian’s model, the video also briefly covers the Porsche 935 that were the Capris main opposition in the DRM races.
