Started modelling at 8 & still going strong 46 years later.
Nowadays, build mainly cars & military models. My favourites are still the F1 cars of the late 70s thru 80s.
I'm from Singapore & works as a project manager based in Tanzania for the past 13 years building hotels.

Wow, such a varied selection.....

Technical Illustrator, 3D Exhibitions and Experiential Designer,
I also oversee installation event management.
I am 50 and have been modelling most of my life,
apart from my wife and kids, my main areas of interest are:-

a. Cars (plastic, metal and resin) the more iconic the better, oh and large scale 1/20 - 1/12.
b. Figures (resin, metal and plastic), which i still do a few every now and then, all scales.
c. Aircraft (plastic with aftermarket), pre 1946 only, mostly WW1, all 1/32 scale.

Haven't made it through all the pages yet, but a nice read. Very nice diversified group.
I am 51 and am a forklift operator in a cold storage warehouse. Been building Nascar models for the last 25 years. Now I'm moving to F1 kits. Hope to post a WIP soon. Thanks to all for sharing!

Take a look at the Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito FB VI. It builds into a beautiful aircraft and is typical Tamiya quality. Lots of perfectly fitting pieces.

Hi Bill

Oh yes, I agree, thankfully its already in the stash, along with a Tamiya P51, (75% done),
a Zouei Mura Raiden (65% done) and a few Wingnuts kits (mostly OOP kits)
as well as the Italeri Mefistofele Fiat and a few other Vehicle kits....

Im getting older now and a lot more choosy about what I build.....lol,
started building less, but spending more on the kits.....?????

I am 42, jumped in modeling at the age of 12...mainly concentrating on 1/48 modern aircraft and of course 1/20 F1 from 60's till end 80's.

Working as a general manager in charge of 2 plants...so currently my modeling time has reduced dramaticaly but i still hang on it as it a real escape for me. My goal for 2016 : to build 5 kits !

I'm 25, and I'm a logistics coordinator for a major US railroad. I plan and handle shipments in shipping containers. I've been building models for about 4 years now and I live in Philadelphia.

Old guy. Been building models off and on for almost 50 years. Three different scales of model railroads, R/C aircraft, a few model boats and a whack of plastic car models. Formula 1 cars have been a constant for a long time but I did manage to squeeze in a group of 1/72 aircraft containing every jet fighter Canada has flown over the years. In my spare time away from modeling I own an autobody repair shop here in Calgary and serve as a director of the Avro Museum as well being involved with the construction of a manned jet powered 60% scale flying replica of the Avro Arrow being built a an airshow demonstration aircraft.

Beautiful Thread!!

I am 60 and retired since 31th December 2015. I have worked in many different things, but for the last 21 years I worked in a company dedicated to everything relating to respiration. Medical equipment but also many other things.
I am modelling fan since I have memory but I have never got enough time to dedicate so I am still a novice with few experience. Hope 2016 year will be the year of build some of the big pile I have. I like 1/12 racing but also I collect 1/43 diecast.
My other hobbies are RC cars and night photography. My goal for 2016 is to get enough skill to be happy with my builds, so probably I will ask a lot of things at the forum. Be patient with me!!

Cheers!!
