Release date is July 2024.

Well, its something.
Oh wow!
That’s good! I assume copyright may make it impossible but wish they do the same with the Ferraris

I'll be surprised if we see any 'new' kits this year... unless Meng drops more surprises on us.

You are right mate. Though we also get old and alternating detailed engines with easier curbside is a good deal.
Also modern cars’ engines are not what they used to be

I understand your pointing, but like on SF 70H from Tamiya, it will be difficult for manufactors to get access to that "section", the teams make a big secret to prefend other teams from stealing ideas and that might be a reason why we don`t get high detailed new cars, older ones for sure, but i point to cars more then 20 years old maybe.

I think this Section of the Car is quite complex nowadays.

I dont think I have missed previous comments on this new announcement - but please ignore this post if I have.

Is this a wind-up?

According to Spotmodel Beemax are releasing .... ANOTHER 1/12 MCLAREN MP4/4 - and it is "comming (sic) soon".

https://www.spotmodel.com/product_info. ... s_id=58470

After having despaired of ever seeing a MP4/4 in 1/12 scale, I enthusiastically paid nearly £600 for the MFH 1/12 (Monaco version) kit when it came out a few years back.

It was then rather galling to see a MUCH cheaper plastic kit of this car emerge from Meng recently! And as if to add further pain, I now find that another 1/12 MP4/4 is "comming" out as well....!!

However this cant be good business can it - so soon after the Meng issue? (Why not release the MP4/7 or MP4/8 as they are the only Senna cars not available in plastic? Both won Monaco too.)

Oh well - I am sure they know what they are doing and if it is like the 99T, it will be months/years before it actually appears.

Right, announced longer ago, but the Beemax will cover the early version of that car with high Turbo intakes on the side pods, the Meng is the later version with the turbo intakes inside of the sidepods, so some differences are there.
