Am I right in thinking that Ricciardo is now heading to McLaren, or are they just lies, horrible lies...?

Yes we have a cascade of events.
Curious that at https://f1grandprix.motorionline.com/ they devote flashier titles to Ricciardo's move than they do for Carlos'
"Carlos il non ammato", pilot episode?? nope, see as followsÑ
ED: I stand corrected!!

Re: VETTEL-FERRARI SPLIT!!!!!
It's amazing to check that since Alesi/Berger left, Ferrari has had just 8!! drivers (full time I mean), So apart of Leclerc just one, they have made 4 seasons (Irvine) then Alonso 5, Barrichello & Vettel 6, Massa and Raikkonen 8 and Schumi 11. That's steadiness!!
Half of them arrived with wins, and three of those as already champions (2 twice, one 4 times). Two, Alonso and Vettel did not add to their tally while Kimim and Michael did.
All of the other 4 managed victories, while none of them a title ("yet" we might add on Leclerc's case), and none of the 6 "ex" had great success afterwards, bar Kimi that at least won two races.
So Sainz ranks with the aforementioned plus Villeneuve, Tambay, Alesi, Johansson, as recruits without wins and "limited" experience. Well, actually he's got a bit more than that, with six seasons and three teams. Nevertheless quite young as others that came with that experience (Arnoux, Mansell...) were quite older.
You cant deny he looks to be a hell of a professional (probably most drivers are nowadays) and in contrast to Ricciardo he's still on the raising side of his curve.
Carlos arrives in really good conditions, though all depends on how things go for Leclerc this year.
I'd bet Carlos will be rooting Vettel this year
And it'll be interesting to see how he compares with Charles. Honestly I don't dare to bet.
One last thing: could we start some change.org camapign so Hulk allows Carlos (and he wants) to use number 27??

Will not miss Vettel. I think he will retire. Where will he go? I think he’s seen his last win and title. Hope Hamilton doesn’t make the same mistake of going to Ferrari. Nothing to gain and everything to lose. Finish it out in a Merc and walk away.
