Yes, would be easier.
But I see it only as a template. I will sand them down and use small sheet for the cap when it's done at the end.

Upps,something went wrong here.

Have to cut that printed windshield out.

Looks better now,but still a lot of work to do.I used the Tamiya window and cut an spare body from the 934.

Now i found a solution for the roof which makes me to 95% happy.

Image

I also used the Tamiya front hood and only have to sand a tiny bit on both sides.

Image

Next step will be the air intakes at both sides before i cant start with 2k putty when i am back at work in January.

Start fixing the problem zones...
Front window:
Red = wrong / green = fixed

The edge of the roof needs to be more rounded Thorsten, depending on the top view. Realy hard to match the proportions of a 911, like the way you changed that point Christian as it is a great help for the front window "making of" as the Tamiya window is a good template to use for vacuum forming!

Today i finished all the bodywork changes.Hope so?
Some shots of primer and tomorrow the rest. Will show some pics when its done.

In the meantime i started with the tires.
The tamiya 935 used the same tire size like the Kremer K3.So i started with them but they are very thin and wobbly.
I made an inner spacer to get more strength in it.

Image

Thats how it looked mounted.

Image

Should be hard enough for casting.

Image

The mold is half filled with the tires. The rest will be cast.

Image

Image

Some layers silicone was added.

Image
Now are both half sides cast and the rest will follow tomorrow.

Quiet happy with the body and the tires. The original rims fits very well into the resin.
The body needs now a lot of fine sanding.
