Re: Ferrari 412 T2 1:12 Museum collection
Hallo again,
here is my next update with the rear suspension.
The layout of the kit's rear upper wishbone is uncorrect. MC's upper wishbone is made from two parts: a V- shaped front arm with it's fixing points both at the gearbox and a rear straight toe-in toe-out bar connected with the cast horizontal Aluminium bar at the end of the gearbox.
( Not to be seen in the picture).
The correct layout is a single quadrangular upper wishbone with a front linkage at the gearbox front and a common rear linkage at the Aluminium bar.
This is the same layout as that of the FW 14. But the rear common end of the FW 14 is too long. So I tried to reduce the wishbone and solder the rear ends, but I failed. The Tamiya metal resisted soldering and either I got a weak brittle or dry joint ( too lo heat) or the metal melted (too much heat).
Therefore I spread the kit's V- shaped front arm to the right angle and soldered it to the reduced toe-in toe-out bar.
The MC metal is easier to solder.

Re: Ferrari 412 T2 1:12 Museum collection
The instruction Manual Shows no Information about the correct hight of the horizontal Al-bar. With my first attempt it was too high mounted and the upper wishbone had contact with the Body cowling. So I put it 3 mm downwards.

Wonderful job. That looks like not an easy kit to me. Great work!
