They sound like RC cars
They look slow.
The track was mickey mouse.
Trading cars at a pit stop is a joke. Just shorten the race.
I was really disappointed by a lack of different strategies. I thought different cars would be faster at different points of the race. But all of the cars are the same so I guess that is why.
The level of driving was high except for Mr. Prost. The cars were so equal and the corners so tight I was surprised there were not more incidents.
It is a shame all of those sponsors aren't on Indy cars instead.
I won't watch it again unless there is nothing else on.

Think I'll watch another one before I make up my mind. Car development is opened up for next year so there should at least be some differences between cars then... but it does seem a bit slow for the style of car being used. The noise is as expected, that's just how electric vehicles sound. Get used to it, they'll be everywhere in a few years. That track was rubbish though. And Heidfeld is one seriously lucky chappy after that crash. Prost should be heavily penalised for that move.

Can fans really "vote" online to give individual drivers more power during the race?

Well after seeing the race I feel a bit mixed.. The sound was well not much and the speed was actually a bit slower then I expected.
And why are they not using slicks?

From what I understand it's an all weather tire they can use under any condition. It eliminates the need for pit stops should it start raining.

I like the idea of a series of alternative power to internal combustion engines, but why limit it to electric? Also rules to make cars equal are counterproductive to what this series should provide: accelerated progress in non combustible programs. Ie more efficient and powerful alternatives that can be used on a wider scale by the general public.

Well, kind of impressed.
I cannot see the point on the basis that I don't believe this is the future of transport after the coal and oil runs out.
Just being an engineer I suppose...
The crash WAS impressive however!

I just finished watching it and, generally, I liked it. The pit stops were certainly... innovative! I hadn't read much on the series ahead of time, so it took me by surprise. Some good fights. It's a little difficult to tell who's who. Prost drove a beautiful race until the last corner. From what I could see, he took a look in his mirrors and saw Heildfeld, then made his move, thinking that Nick was still where he'd just seen him, but h'ed moved over.

On the whole, I give it a passing grade, but I very much look forward to the teams being able to design and develop their own car (I find monotype racing very boring - half the fun for me is seeing the technical side of things and teams coming up with their own solutions).
