WOW, what an amzing picture...would be a nice diorama. Any infos about the color of the car..looks like white or a very light color. The numbers look handpainted, so no need for decals

I've reconsidered my paint choice and I agree with you. The box top build is darker and really looks good but I think it was artistic license to to make the car look more dramatic. I've decided to go back to my first choice TS23 and to stick with black for the steering wheel rim. The decals might not work but they are just for the gauges and the two number roundels. Replacement gauges could come from my decal books if I need them and I may just cut new roundels from a white decal sheet and I might just leave them blank.

This is such a cool subject amidst all the "modern" cars. Where did you get the kit?

I recently took this foto, it's of a car that is for sale at a local dealer. If you get your paint like in the picture you're very close.

Having studied lots of Talbot Lago photos it seems clear that the steering wheel was was black, but the seat colour seems to have been black or brown, depending on the car. It seems possible to tell between the two even in b/w photos. For example, this looks a lot like brown.

After all the turbulence at my job and all of the repair work on my house I finally found time on Easter morning when I could get a little peace at the model bench. I was up at 6:00 am and cleaned up all the seams. The Tamiya primer is finally on so I decided to check on the speed build forum........and found that the official build ended yesterday

I'll finish up this week and will post the results.

Maybe it's time to retire so I can pursue what I really want to do. The MFH Matra MS-80 came in this week. There's just not enough time in my days..........

Been noticing that Hooterville thing and thinking that it's rife with possibilities

Retirement will likely not render as much relief as imagined ............ "stuff" has a way of growing to fill the available time!

Peace and quiet is a boon though!

Great car ! Those old ones have something special that the moderns lack. Keep us up to speed on the build?

A good day!

Spent the afternoon with our son and his wife and had a good time. When they left I scooted back upstairs and got back on it

Still some detailing to do but I like what I see here....




And I'll definitely be using the same TS-23 for my Stewart MS80!

That was a quick transition from parts on the bench,looks great...cool old car.
