1/12 P34 Questions

Wow, this car seems to be getting a lot of topics here just lately!!

Anyway, I have just started to build it, I have never built a 1:12 before and am just going for box stock with some minor details added, not dis similar to Joe's excellent build that was posted on here a day or two ago.

My question, for anyone that has built this kit is can the chassis be assembled in its entirety before painting? I see no reason, other than the steering rack that the entire chassis can't be assembled, and, if one of the front suspension plates was missed off during painting it seems that the rack could be fitted afterwards and then the other suspension plate fitted.

I just want to make sure I aren't missing anything obvious before i bust out the cement!!!!
