F40 work in progress
I am having trouble gettting around this site, but wanted all of you to know how inspired I am by your posts. I am trying to share some photos of my F40 as well on this forum, but somehow only got a couple posted on a gallery (they are too small to see well) If someone could give me some tips on how to post my pictures, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Re: F40 work in progress
Hi - Try and upload your pics to photobucket.com and then past the links into your posts. PB is a good place to keep all your images and its easy to perform a bulk upload =)
Good luck!
Good luck!

HI,
Actually the pics were gynormous and f40 was only seeing the thumbnails. Sometimes the gallery has issues with images that big and I have to kick it.

Re: F40 work in progress
Thanks for looking. The engine is made up of a lot of scratch built parts. The exhaust system is made up of cut stainless steel tubing which was weathered by using a cigar lighter. All the turbo braided line fittings were machined. The pully on the air conditioned unit was also machined. The water cooler system on top of the engine was built with milliput putty. The turbos were also redone and modified from the pocher kit. I currently working on the exhaust system in the rear, which will be made up of stainless steel using a tube bender.

Re: F40 work in progress
Tony- I checked out the photos of your F40- you are doing an amazing job! Your progress is well ahead of me! I will be following your WIP, but I have a long way to go yet. I am working off the F40 manual.
Re: F40 work in progress
I'm with you Tony... I thought it was the Autograph TK until I looked again. Excellent job on the motor and chassis for that matter, too! Hard to believe there are 4 of these F40's on this forum alone, now! I would also like to point out the great work on the A/C compressor, alternator and breather tube that ties into the cam covers. The coolant manifolds are excellent as well... maybe I should get you to make a set for me, as I don't have mine scratchbuilt yet. Since you are using the same reference that Tony and I are using, are you planning to do anything with the intake/throttle body/fuel distribution areas? I know the kit parts are severely lacking in detail/accuracy. Nice job with the turbos also... another sorely lacking-for-detail item. These things are what got me motivated to build the frame out of brass. Not enough detail for the size of the kit!Tony126c2 wrote:A second look showed me that I am dead wrong! Thanks for the compliments- I am a long way from completing the motor, but I will be scratch building the fuel injection to the best of my abilities. I am definitly keeping my eyes on your WIP-so I can learn some things from you-I am still amazed at the framework that you have done!
