HIRO BT52B done

Post by Manu »

Hi guys !
I got a lot of late to catch up, pics to post so here's the 1st part, the BT52B from hiro.
Very cool kit, that looks mor elike a ST27 rebadged (judging from the resin, photo etch and general way of building it.
I really dig the general shape of the car and I'm looking forward to add it close to my upcoming tyrrell 012.
The blue is TS53, that matches the decal pretty well.A bit dark, maybe but it gives contrast to the car and to me compared to the pics I've seen, TS15 was way too light...
2 little problems, the rear wing, lot of parts and kinda heavy, not easy to glue, and the front tyres tend to go into the little frontwing winglets. Otherwise, good decals, I know one shouldn't be on the nose, but after apllied the white nose decal, I made a hole to screw on the front wing and I screwed, in fact, the nose by doing a hole in it, so I added a decal to hide the little hole;). Nice wheels and thanks to hiro, my kit missed the rear wheel insert and 1 brake disc, I had them in 4 days for free. Just a mail, very nice lady sent it to me.
What can I say? thank you for your customer concern !!
In the following days (I'm on vacations for 1 week tomorrow), you will have the F2007, I wanna have a good source of light to make the red looks good), the AMC minardi, close to be finished, the prost AP01, 60 % done, the F50 GT, 80 done.
Then I'll start the forto corse from wolf ( my god my god......) .I 'll surely do a WIP of this one to show how lucky we are with ST27 kits at the end...
If some people wanna see the wolf model 01, drop me a mail to redcheek@@orange.fr ;)

pics now, enough talking ;)
Thank you for passing by and c-ya soon ;)

Fantastic Manu ! ! One of my all time favorite F1 cars.

The blue really looks the part and I just love the wings (both are cool).

Keep up the GREAT work.

Oh yes!!! :) Impressive!!!
Fantastic car, one of my all time favourites!
And fantastic build!!
The nose decal... well it's a pity! Sorry, this car's a sacred cow for me :)
Look what I had written before reading your details on it:
But...Who the hell made you put this BMW on the nose cone tip??? Oh please tell me you can still remove it!!!
I hate when instructions unacuracies affect great modelers' work!!! You should ask MFH for a refund ;-)
Obviously that's nonsense!! :-D
Fantastic, true.

 Is this Gundam or F1? Indeed, it's a strange looking car. Wonder if the Driver had a Darth Vader type of helmet to go along.

Hey MMM, I hate you, you are forever so Fast & Good!

Looking forward to your AMC Minardi. Is your PS04 done? Mine was abandoned, just can't get the paintjob right, frustrating! :?

BTW, in case you plan a vacation to watch the Night race here next Sept, just PM me, I can show you around.
