Another ebay restoration

Post by andyi »

I picked up another restoration project on Ebay.

Ive been after a Tyrell Ford but the kits were always a bit pricey or killer postage (Japan etc) .

Anyway this UK based one popped up on Ebay and I got it cheap. It had no windsheild, wrong mirrors and some weird decal scheme.

Picked up some decals from Strada Sports (cheers) and after decal removal, repaint and scratch built windsheild and mirrors, its in the cabinet keeping the P34 and others company.

I like to give these unwanted and sad models a new home.

I didn't make it to the Telford show due to copious ammount of Guiness on Saturday but would love to see some pics or comments from anyone who made it.

Andy.

Andy,

fantastic work, what a difference - it shows you what you can do with a little restoration - some of these kits you can pick up for a song too. I've got a BT44 that I intend to do the same with or convert it to another version.

Oh my word, please dont let any poor misguided buyer spend £200 on that! I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but - cmon!
