Hi Guys.
I am building the Studio 27 BAR 007, 2005 Japanese GP car.
I have spent a lot of time already researching photo references etc and have found a lot of information.
However I need to hand it over to this forum of knowledge for some help
Has anyone built this kit, or can anyone identify the PE parts...
44 & 45 (rectangular plates with slots),
21 & 22 (triangular shapes)
and...
17 (bracket type things),
19 (squarish plate with 2 holes).
If anyone can identify these it will be great. All the others have been identified and OK.
I am also hoping that someone may have the Giorgio Piola 2005 technical review book and check to see if there are drawings of the BAR at the Japan GP.
If they could post any drawings or PM me this will help me a lot.
Thanks for any help guys.
Cheers, Tim

I don`t have that kit, but in my opinion 17 looks like seat belt mounting brackets to the rear of the cockpit.
21 and 22 maybe flaps for the outside of the front wing?
Here are 2 links, maybe they can help you.

Yes, I think you might be right with the seat belt mounts. That seems to be a good call. Looks like a potentially frustrating installation thoughgp-models wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 7:31 am I don`t have that kit, but in my opinion 17 looks like seat belt mounting brackets to the rear of the cockpit.

Thanks for links. I have used the first link with my initial research, but never saw the second link. Some pics there that are quite useful.
Thanks again. Tim

I think 17 should be combined with 13. Check below instruction from a Studio27 seatbelt set.
So 17 from your set is E12/13 in the instructions and 13 is "E14-20".

Thanks TvD. That solves 17. Looking at if now it makes a lot of logic. It gives me something to loop the belt through the buckle now.
This is the first full multimedia and S27 kit I have built.
I have learnt quite quickly that the instructions are vague and incomplete and you are on your own to figure out the rest. I have also had a piece missing and some bonus pieces too. Its a head scratcher. Weirdly though still enjoying the process.
Thanks for your help. Cheers Tim

Re: Help please - S27 BAR 007 Japan GP
Do you know about other versions of this car?
Sometimes there are parts that are not required for a particular version.
For example: S27 released two versions of the Tyrrell 026: The early car with tower wings, and the late car without. I built the late car, but still got the endplates for the tower wing on the PE sheet.
Sometimes also the neighbour numbers can give you an idea. 13 to 16 on your PE sheet were seatbelt related, so it was no surprise 17 was seatbelt related too.
19 could be something along the centerline of the car. Lower front suspension, top of the gearbox or the rearwing support.
And a wild guess for 42 and 43:
Could these parts be glued on the side of the gearbox to give you a mounting point for the rear suspension?

Thanks Steffen for your advice. It looks like there were 3 variations so you may be correct there with what you mention. Maybe these parts are unrelated to my version after all. Thanks again. Tim
