MotoGP 1/12 SUZUKI GSX-RR 2022
Okay, After the nice showing of the Huge 1/4 YZRM1, Lets keep the wheels moving on this new MotoGP section
Just finished this one - Here is Tamiya's Suzuki GSX-RR 2020 1/12 MotoGP kit, I didn't build OOB as the 2020 MotoGP Suzuki, I went for the 2022 version (using Tabu aftermarket decals)
Very Sad to have SUZUKI withdraw from MotoGP, I hope they will return again very soon.
Slight modifications needed from 2020 to 2022:
The air cooling vents either side of the seat hump were altered in shape and mesh added (Not included in the Tamiya kit )
I removed the camera under the seat unit left side.
modified the kit so that no toy like mini phillips screws are showing anywhere (Don't like these, shouldn't be there and I will do my best to find another way to assemble).
Paints used: Zero Silver / Tamiya TS-19 metallic blue, I've discovered Tamiya's new LP-48 Sparkling silver, my new favourite paint (it's great to use and gives a perfect finish for the likes of frame/swing arm etc, it's just right IMO and goes on the bare plasitc just fine).
Aftermarket C/F decals added to the usual places where required.
I went for the Alex Rins bike, I like his style but unfortunately he crashes waaaayyyy to much.
Finished Build:
And here with some of the Stable mates that were prepared earlier :
1988 PEPSI SUZUKI 500cc K. Schwantz
2000 FACTORY SUZUKI 500cc K. Roberts Jr

Love the Zuzuki. Thanks for posting the info on the colors too! Am researching and preparing for this build. Top Studio just released a detail set that I plan on getting.
FYI I have seen others use magnets instead of the screws on the fearing. Something I want to try. But for now I have been just putting a flat PE bolt over the screw

Great build! all the bikes look great. I've been building quite a few bikes lately I find them quite challenging.

Hi Dede,
These are very nicely done bikes. I very much like the fact that you hide/replace all the kit provided screws.
Your detailed painting of the chain looks really good. Great job!

Like those Suzi's a lot.
Kevin was the hero when I was young and driving a Suzuki RG80 Gamma. In my mind I was very close to Kevin
Excellent result. Will start my first bike after 15 years very soon and hope they will look half as good as yours at the end.
Great job!
Regards Christian
