Thanks for the pictures. The Aston Martin makes me think twice about skipping this.

Its unfortunate that it appears my findings from April likely weren't that out of the realm. It appears that modeling has lost some interest in Japan during Covid. At least we have some additional 3D modelers coming into play, but I feel like there may be less big plastic models in our future from Tamiya.

If any interest I will post more pics.

Best regards

Do we know any more about that Lotus 107C? Sorry if I've missed it but I don't recall any posts about it. Would love to see more pics of anything else at the show too of course!

I will do my best to comply with the wishes - but you must have me excused for feeling a 'little bit' beat up. It took a strong 36 hours to get home - thanks to a broken plane in Frankfurt...

I could not even imagine how i would feel after a 36 hours trip with jet lag including, i think i would be sick for a week or so!
I guess everyone would agree if you take some time to regenerate from that, nothing to hurry. ;)
Take a stand!

Yep and a painfull tooth that acted up the entire trip home as well. I ran out of painkillers...

But a good time it was with you all in Tokyo. If only it wasn't that far away... :-(

Well, I'm back in HK now. The luggage I carried was 20kg. Probably not that heavy as yours but both my arms are terribly sore now! lol Let's meet again next year!

Re: Hobbyforum in Yokohama 2023-12-03 - new pics!

Post by Flemming »

Hi

After surviving various body troubles ( a triple root canal and an unpleasent visit of shingles...) after the Japan trip - I have finally found time to show some pics of the show in Yokohama.

Image
Entry to the show Japanese style. Would it be a problem that only one door opened at the second the clock reached 10 AM? Absolutely not. We're in Japan where lines are held with no need for the usual show gadgest used to guide people. No we all went in in one singel file long 'snake' going from left to right. Would not happen without any problem anywhere else in the world! Kudos to Japan!

Image
First point of call was naturally the MFH stand who had brought two new kits from ermmm 'DTM' which has absolutely no relation to MFH! None what so ever... They were Hobbyforum ONLY - so if you weren't there you won't find them on public sale. Maybe on Ebay naturally,

A sad note was the small display for sadly departed Hiro-san earlier this year

Also on show was the new kit of the Aston Martin form 2022. Big issue is the colour. Is it green or is it blue with a green tinge? Finisher has released a colour called Forrest green which looks too blue for me. Anyone who have seen it live. Photos can be very misleading.
