Ebbro Tyrrell 002 1/20 Scale Stewart

Post by Bonanza »

Just finished up the Ebbro Tyrrell 002 (003) Driven by Jackie Stewart from the 1971 British GP. Really great kit with a lot of detail, parts fit was excellent. The only gripe I would have would be some parts are quite delicate but I doubt that could be helped as the suspension is pretty complicated. Very pleased with my work on this one, really looks nice on my shelf.
Primer - Tamiya Fine Light Grey
Color - Gravity Colors Tyrrell Blue GC-115
Clear- Gravity 2k Gloss
Stock chrome was all stripped and repainted various colors.
Interiors and metals are mostly Tamiya lacquers over Tamiya Gloss Black lacquer. Really starting to enjoy Tamiya LP line of paints, nice stuff.
Belts are a combo of Tamiya and Studio 27
Added some MFH ignition wire and a hose tube that I had laying around.
Hope you guys like it.

Very nice build!
How did you managed to do the metal border surrounding the cockpit? Masking tape, paint and patience?

Very neat & tidy. Wish my builds can be that clean & neat. Did you add any extras to the kit?

Very careful masking. Tamiya makes a 1mm roll of tape that works beautifully on things like this. Thanks!
