Re: 1/12 Lotus 99t NUNU
I think the easiest solution would be to cut a slot on where the displacement is until the seamline (which is the pivot point), warm it up to bend it slightly back inwards and reattach it by gluing in a small piece of PS in the thickness of the slot in between and then sand it down to shape. Sounds the least work and keeps the thickness of the part

Well - this is my NUNU Lotus 99 after a little wet and dry...
It is not a perfect kit - but what is?

That looks great to me. While it'd be awesome if we didn't have these issues, I don't think this should stop someone from buying it.

Sorry dude,
1 mm is ONE milimeter.
0,1 mm is a TENTH of a milimeter.
Dunno what was stupid in my answer.

Is there a need for you to be so rude?scaleautofactory wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 4:08 pm Stupid answer - you do not understand the issue do you?
Show me on the original car this displacment.

Yes, I also think sanding is a good tool to fix some issues. And kindness, education not to create them
That´s a nice place where we share modeling experiences. When someone invests some minutes to get interested on them, the less we can do is answer correctly. I haven´t seen a dumb answer here in all my life, let alone a stupid one.
Anyway, back to the tarmac, yes I think the suspensions are well represented. Just look at the Tamiya, they are like that there too.

Re: 1/12 Lotus 99t NUNU
Build started..-
Generally: each part needs cleaning, there is a lot of flash.
Some points:
The Part G5 needs a hole drilled - because the screw S5 (10mm) to hold the engine block on the Floor is to long - or replace the screw with 6mm length. The instruction say: build the complette exhaust set and then glue it to the engine - this can cause some misalignments with the connection to the airbox and cooler. I screwed the engine to the floor and then i add the cooler and then i place the exhaust pipes and the "hot" part of the turbo and glue them together in place.
Finally i add the rest of the turbo in alignment with the cooler.
When to opposite side is also done, i can remove the engine from the floor and add the last parts to the turbo. The cowl "problem" is fixed after 4 hours sanding with different sanding tools (microscale)...
