Looks like plastic with fibres added for strenght. Could be carbon fibres but more likey glass fibres.scaleautofactory wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 9:31 pmBox say: carbon mixed special material suspension arms.
That's standard in automotive plastic parts to add strenght. There we usually use up to 30% glass fibres or glass balls.
There's a limit when it shows up on the surfaces like here so visible parts use less and usually you try to avoid it.
Since these parts get painted anyway it doesn't matter and it's cheaper than the metal suspension arms Tamiya used in their early 90s kits.

Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, the kit is not MFH or Tamiya. However, I look forward to it. And the pricepoint works for me.
I am confident that we will probably see some additional upgrade stuff for this kit as well.

Re: 1/12 Lotus 99t NUNU
yikes.....beemax engine parts look more like the old revell f2002 that I'm currently working on. soft details & rough surface/edges. I'm guessing their mp4/4 will be abot the same quality

Production problem that did not get caught in quality inspection?scaleautofactory wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 3:34 pmYes, on the front of the left sidepod is a displacement of 0.2mm , on the right side is only flash.
The engine is covered by some parts like turbo, exhaust, pipes - so the main problems with the displacement of the details is not much visible.
