Love the details of the brake discs! did you use some kind of 'forged' cf decals to achieve this effect?

To make the rear wing end plates, I used thin brass sheet with a second layer of plastic sheet stuck to the inside of each endplate so that I could create a bevelled edge. The end plates are relatively straightforward to make. I did initially use plastic sheet entirely, but that proved a bit too weak and the end plates flexed somewhat. Pictures added.
Your model is just incredible!!!! Such impressive detail

Hi James, no problem. I've used the clear windscreen as supplied. Just painted it.JamesB wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 1:38 pm PLease let me make the smart ass question.
Have you used the same windshield profile, or modified it? I assume you will have considered this, but I remember some time I shut up and the fellow modeler then said, "Ah, you could have mentioned it before!!" BTW it was the same area of similarly liveried car
The discs were just painted, no decals.Daliracing wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 2:42 pm Love the details of the brake discs! did you use some kind of 'forged' cf decals to achieve this effect?

Re: MP4/6
Hi James, the shape of the Tamiya screen is close enough for me... . And yes, I have several white 'Heuer' decals (from various aftermarket decal sheets that I've acquired over the years!).
