I am so sorry to read this news. Single-handedly really, MFH seem to have been keeping the 1/12 racing car kit flag flying whilst more established firms hid away citing things such as licensing costs, tobacco adverts and lack of demand. Mr Hiro showed that it was perfectly possible to issue new and interesting kits, and regularly! I hope it is some firm of tribute to Mr Hiro that Italeri, Meng, Nunu and others have recently started to issue subjects in 1/12 once more.

Terrible news for his family and modelers who have benefitted from his work. I’m happy to hear the company plans to continue but his influence will be missed.
