Re: MULTIMEDIA Upcoming F1 Releases 2023
The name confused me a bit, but maybe someone can shed some light into my darkness.
The GP20117 is the 1978 Kauhsen WK001 from the Le Castellet tests, driver - Patrick Neve, right?
And where exactly was the other Kauhsen WK001 used?

Re: MULTIMEDIA Upcoming F1 Releases 2023
GP20116 should be the car form Colmar-Berg (LUX) Test 1979 with driver G. F. Brancatelli??

Re: MULTIMEDIA Upcoming F1 Releases 2023
I tried to find some information about this as I liked the look of it. It seems like that car never made it to a GP race as it was not approved. Kauhsen made another car that tried to qualify at two races without luck and it is that car that became Merzario.
Did I understand it correctly?

Re: MULTIMEDIA Upcoming F1 Releases 2023
You are correct Bjorn.
The cars that tried to qualify for the 1979 Spanish and Belgian GPs were WK1/004 and 005. They were more conventional in appearance than the test versions offered by Wolf, but not a lot faster and certainly very unreliable!
After Belgium the team disbanded and the last chassis was sold to Merzario and became the A4. It seemed an odd decision by Merzario at the time, seeing as the Kauhsens never got within 4 seconds of qualifying for either race...
The only time a Kauhsen actually raced was in the Zolder Aurora AFX Championship round where it managed 2 laps before retiring. In Merzario form it again failed to qualify for all the races it was entered and only raced at the non-championship race at Imola where it finished last, two laps down on the winning Brabham of Niki Lauda.

ES

One of the most amazing kits I've ever seen. Very sharp prints. I've seen the future and kits like this are it!
