One of my favorite classic designs. This is the Miura offered by Agora models. It was a subscription. Agora is a good company and they ship from the Florida to Hawaii.
Fun build, now looking forward to the next one, Mercedes W196R.

Re: 1/8th Miura
Just finishing mine as well; the high points; interior, chrome, wheel and tire casting all first rate, low points: paint finish has lots of orange peel, body fitting taking a lot of time and patience; bending/filing/adjusting , won't be perfect but should suffice for display. I would have preferred orange body color or black with gold rocker panels and gold wheels. As far as Agora: the 'plus' is shipping is in US saving shipping costs,, mediocre timeliness of shipping but they are very precise on charging you on time.

Re: 1/8th Miura
I agree with all your comments. I had to wet sand the body, especially the front half to get it to look decent.

Re: 1/8th Miura
Dave , As a kid 14 or less I use to hang out at Briggs Cunningham Auto Museum in Costa Mesa. They had a Pearl white Muira with white leather interior, obviously special order. It was Mrs. Cunningham's daily driver! She would drive it down Laguna Canyon road on the way home, a twisty, radical road that was suited to that car but she was maybe 70 about then! She took me for a ride one day and Man! Briggs must have been her instructor, she had no fear and hat V12 Howling behind your as you get nailed back in the seat is something you never forget. This was probably 1969 ... Briggs was neat guy , he let me get in all the cars, the DOHC GT40 was my favorite, I built a replica many years later, in the museum while he told me about driving them at Lemans and many other tracks.. What a experience. We stayed friend for may years, my Dad built engine's for the Museum in the Restoration shop so I always tagged along.. Cheers Chris

Re: 1/8th Miura
What a great story. My close friend here in Honolulu has a Miura that was restored by Valentino Balboni's company in Italy. Valentino comes to Honolulu after the Monterey Historic's. I get to have dinner with him and a group of Lamborghini owners. I am going to take my Miura with me this year and have him autograph under the front hood. My friend has an impressive collection including many Ferraris, a 917 replica and a GT40. Let me know if you are ever in Honolulu.
