McLaren F1

First few mist coats of clear after the sponsor decals. Have added a few washers here and there. Some minor touch ups needed.

Used tamiya curved masking tape for the arches, works well, better than I expected. Need to make sure the tape is taught.

Ride hight is nonsense, gutting the suspension out. Front suspension completely wrong. Wheels are rubbish, tempted to nab the set from the s27 kit I have lying around - but if/when I get to that kit stuck with the same problem...

Have you checked the tires on the rims? Street car was way off with sidewalls too tall.

Hey - yup I think they have actually used the street wheels and tyres on the le mans racer. Shame, the rest is pretty good, interior exterior - tyres / brakes / suspension totally wrong

KMP models announced a wheel set that corrects the kit issues. No due date though.

Good news! I don’t see anything yet on Spotmodel.

I have placed an order directly with imp, had to order two to reach minimum. Happy to sell the second set for 30euro if anyone interested (cost price incl delivery….)
