Anyone has a pic of Senna’s 50th pole car nose?
Anyone has a pic of Senna’s 50th pole car nose?
You know it was at Jerez, 1990, McLaren put a special commemorative “50th” sticker on the MP4/5B nose. Can’t find one picture though I’ve seen it.
Anyone please???

This is Spain 1990 and I don't see any different sticker on the nose. Between Goodyear and McLaren there is something I can't identify but looks the same than Brazil
Spain, race

You mean this one?
He did not race the car with this sticker, like Joaquin, thats what confused me to start with! Malc.

That's it! Thanks Malc!
Sure he did not race with it, sorry not to have clarified. That was done for this, celebrations, cake, etc.
I remember a pic (just the nose) on magazine auto1. Joaquin, you surely remember it (the mag, maybe not the pic)

Was the 50 for Senna, I seem to remember it was to do with Shell because this picture withe nose is from Mexico 1990 I think. Also if it was for Senna I don't think Gerhard would be quite so prominent.

I just found this photo in the LAT archives, it is labelled "Honda celebrate their 50 GP victories with Ayrton Senna, left and Gerhard Berger Mexican GP, Mexico City, 24 June 1990"
Malc.

Interesting... I think I remembered it had the "th"...
So this one is different, maybe
I'll try to look for the magazine.

Mexico was the 50th win for Agip as an oil supplier.
But I do not know for what the 50 on McLaren stands for.
It was also the 100th Senna GP.

Been having a look into this and I now believe the 50 is marking the fiftieth victory by Shell and Mclaren together at the previous Grand Prix in Canada.
