Wow sorry to hear about the problem with Gravity. I had not ordered for 2 years because what I had been reading so I thought I would try one more time. I then placed an order in Jan 2020 and got my paint in less than 2 weeks, I guess I got lucky. To bad because I still think he has the best paint for our hobby.

To be completely fair their Support page does clearly state that they are experiencing COVID-19 delays and that phone communication is best (but to expect to leave a message). In my official response to the PayPal case I suggested that they provide those disclaimers in their emailed receipts. All other companies that have had virus impacts have been proactive in their communication so it didn't occur to me to look on their support page.

Caveat emptor, I guess.

badun wrote:Thanks, that answers my question. I was looking for the Bentley Speed 8 Le Mans Green color for the recent MFH kit and they claimed to have it. Scale Finishes doesn't carry it and it is on back order at Hobbyworld USA (I assume because of shipping delays). I'll chalk up the Gravity experience as a lesson learned and wait for the Zero version to make its way to the US.
Colors for stock cars are easy to replicate since paint codes are public, but not colors for race cars. Race teams use to keep their paint codes in secret. Usually hobby paint manufacturers invent them (I know the case of Zero), but Gravity Colors Spain looks having the perfect match. If you are going to purchase the paint from anoter manufacturers, it would be interesting comparing them with the Spanish one. They do have the perfect match. And more for painting such expensive model. I would give them a chance. They have checked a sample at Goodwood Festival of Speed with the actual car.

I received my order from Gravity USA today along with a coupon for a free bottle of paint and some pipettes. They (or he, I don't know if it is a one-man shop or not) took my suggestion to make the backlog notice more noticeable and they/he added it to the email receipt. Your mileage may vary. I'll definitely do a comparison between whichever paints I end up with!

And don’t forget Tamiya also released their Lacquer paints, called LP-xx.

I saw many good reviews, I placed an order of like 10-15 bottles. Will arrive in September in USA...... I will give them a try as well. Usually, I only use Finisher’s, but hard to get some specific colors some times.

The response said they have thousands of backlogged emails and that I should have called them. None of which explains why I had to go through PayPal to get an order over a month old shipped. Or why complaint emails from PayPal get immediate attention but thousands of customer emails do not. But there you go. I will soon be awash in Bentley Metallic Green and will be able to pick from the best among them!
Yep, similar thing happened to me. No replies to emails or voice messages to him for over a month, but once I filed a grievance with Paypal, I got a message the next day disputing I had ever contacted Gravity and that my order was being processed. In a following message, he says my order was shipped the next day, but he didn't provide a tracking notice. We'll see if the items arrive...

Won't be doing business with Gravity US again.

Update: the paints arrived safely today. Too bad it took notifying Paypal to get them....
