I'm looking forward to this construction. I also have the TVR basic set without metal parts, the br çakes and spindle set and the damper set. The two top studio sets and a whole bunch of RBM nuts, screws and some hydraulic connections. Two complete basic sets are also in stock.
With the brake set, I don't have all the screws and brake line connections. So it's not complete, although he promised to deliver it later. I wanted to order the alloy wheels but never received an answer. It's a shame because his things are pretty good. I heard that the metal parts of the big one don't fit the Tamiya parts. I hope in the near future the Top-Studio will bring out an extended set for the engine or side parts with ECU's. In my warehouse there are two FW14B, one I would like to detail and the second becomes OOB or a complete carbon version.
I am definitely with your WIP and look forward to further updates no matter how long it takes.

Can I ask what type of fans are on the spray booth? Are they bathroom fans, or kitchen exhaust??

I'm another one who is patiently waiting for Top Studio to release the full set, as they did with the MP4/6.

I was going to ask the same question on the booth fans; they look to be the Nutone bathroom fans (model 695) I think, but that is a guess. I don't know if those are safe for paint fume / fire safety stuff, but yours are evidently working fine! Are you spraying lacquers in addition to acrylics? Do you find that the two fans produce enough CFM air movement (not enough / too much)? Your design is one that I would like to try as well - the downdraft idea seems solid since any dust would be drawn through the floor instead of toward the back of the booth (and potentially across your fresh paint). Good work man!

I used 2 AirKing AS70 fans. They each move 70cfm. They seem to move enough air even when I have several pieces in the box.

Brilliant - thank you. And you've used lacquers in there, correct?

Yea, Tamiya spray cans, Zero Paints and acrylics. This is the set I got for the FW14B. They colour match to a wide variety of vehicles. Road cars, race cars and motorcycles.

Zero Paints Pre-thinned for airbrush are a lacquer paint. I've used them before, with no trouble.

There's a reason there hasn't been an update for a while.
