McLaren MP4/4 "My Biggest Project" 1:8
Re: McLaren MP4/4 "My Biggest Project" 1:8
I only used kevlar decals from scale production and scale motorsport for the upper regions of the tub. the rest is masking tape and was painted with a mask made of fly screens with tamiya masking tapes to achieve the thin lines. this made the light breaking effect also and gives a little structure to it. its hard to describe and i dont know if i'm able to reproduce it. Seems that was good luck

Amazing work, love the details you added and how the carbon work pops out, this will be another masterclass build for sure!

Hello, today I want to show you my latest progress. Today I finished the dash and made some progress on the engine. The fire button is completely scratched and made of turned aluminium. Further I replaced some valves and added some valves from RBMotion.
Let the pictures speak
structure added to the sidepods
and the instruments
best regards

Love this work. The cockpit is great - if I can’t tell the difference from the real version (apart from the background of the photographs) then what else is there left to say?
Re: McLaren MP4/4 "My Biggest Project" 1:8
Thank you very much my friend

Superb update mate, the cockpit makes me want to jump in and take a ride!
Very nice detail work on the sidepods, how did you achive the textured look? Tissue method?
The RB motion fittings are looking great on the engine, like it!

It is simply unbelievable what a wealth of detail this scale allows.
And the way you do it is just incredibly good!

It is masking tape (in german "Malerkrepp"). In my opinion it is really close to the original look.gp-models wrote:Superb update mate, the cockpit makes me want to jump in and take a ride!
