I'd paint the red and white first, then mask and black.

So made a little progress on this over the past few days. Messed around with the engine a bit more, but mostly been working on the body. Primed, sanded, and laid the pure white. Let it sit for a few days and today I started to do some masking for the red/orange. Something that has been debated endlessly I decided to test out a couple different tamiya sprays. TS-36, and TS-96. I had some extra parts that I sprayed pure white for this test. The 36 is just a little too pink for me, and the 96 is too orange. So I decided to just spray 96 over the 36 and I loved the result. So I believe that will be the route I go when I get a day to lie down some paint.

Went ahead and laid the combo of TS-36 and TS-39 this evening. I think it turned out pretty good for a spray can. We will see when I pull the tape in a day or two. I’m crossing my fingers I did not have any runs.

In the meantime I started something else I’ve had for a long while.

Very good! :D looking forward to the rest of your build.
Why do you wait with pulling off the masking tape? I always remove it directly after painting, never had problems with that.

Cheers!

Thank you. I don’t know. Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah I always remove the tape immediately, I never like leaving tape on any longer than necessary. When you remove the tape along the edge of the red do so very carefully and slowly, don't just tear it off.

Well I guess I will be tackling this when I get home this evening.

What do you do if there are runs?
