Brabham BT18, Ebbro, 1/20
Hi,
I managed to get another one done, the nice new Brabham BT18 kit made by EBBRO.
The kit is very nice, detailed and delicate. You have to be a little bit careful with some of the thinnest parts, but it's a very well engineered kit, please give us a couple more 60s racers EBBRO!
You probably should make sure to remove the colour where you glue the parts, because otherwise the cowling may be a tight fit - I only got it down properly by drilling holes and pinning it down with rivets... that I then had problems removing again, so no topless shots, except for two I did during the build I also suggest to properly clean the sprues before painting (I used oven spray) because there seems to be some residue on the plastic, which the primer does not adhere to very well.
Painted with a mix of TS43 and some black, AS18 grey, TS29, Mr. Super Clear on top, different Alclad colours and Molotow Chrome. The roundels and the gold stripe are painted. I added the usual wires, replaced the trumpets with wire end ferrules and some pipes with solder.
Hope you like it.

Beautiful work! And excellent photography as always. I *think* this is the only full-detail non-monocoque Formula car in 1/20 scale and the engineering on that kit is top notch stuff!
